10 TIPS
FOR A CLEANER DECK

Bleach-Free Outdoor Cleaner
2X Multi-Surface Concentrate

1

Use a blower and/or broom to remove loose debris and stuck on grime from the surface.

2

Determine your dilution and mix in a pump sprayer:

  • Typical deck mix 1:1 (ex: 1 gal. cleaner to 1 gal. water)
  • Dirtier deck with organic growth mix 2:1 (ex: 1 gal. cleaner to 1/2 gal. water)
  • Heavily soiled with organic growth use undiluted (no water)

Spot test on a small hidden area first.

3

Protect adjoining surfaces with a plastic barrier, unless the surface will be cleaned at the same time. This prevents having siding that is clean around the deck and potentially dirty above.

4

Use a garden hose to thoroughly wet the deck surface and surrounding plants and lawn.

5

Generously spray the cleaning mixture onto the wet deck surface and allow to sit for 10-30 minutes.

6

Keep the surface wet while the cleaner is working. If the surface begins to dry, lightly wet it to keep the cleaner activated.

7

For heavily soiled decks, leave the cleaner on the surface for the full 30 minutes. To improve results, scrub with a stiff brush or broom. Repeat the process for stubborn surfaces.

8

Rinse thoroughly and evenly.

9

Thoroughly rinse plants and lawn surrounding the deck.

10

Allow the surface to completely dry prior to foot and pet traffic.
